09 October Plan for Class with Substitute

Salvete--

Yesterday I distributed yellow strips of paper with your user names and passwords for QUIA, an online learning platform.  If you misplaced your yellow strip, you can find user names and passwords by following this link.

You may take each quiz three times and only your best score will count.

After you have copied the Phrases of the Day (see next post) into your notebooks take the first quiz.

01 Begin with this quiz:
00_Latin Greetings and common expressions -Lindzey - 22 questions
http://www.quia.com/quiz/6898103.html

02) Next review vocabulary from Chapters 01 and 02 by playing the matching game below:

Review the grammar sections of Ecce Romani chapters 01 and 02. CLOSE THE BOOK AND THEN TAKE THE QUIZZES BELOW,

Ecce Romani 01 Chapter Quiz -14 questions

02 Ecce Romani Quiz -27 Questions - 27 Questions edited*

Use the map at this link to answer the geographical questions in the above quiz.

03.  Review the vocabulary of the human body by practicing with the matching game below

Corpus humanum - human body - Short Version

Before you take this quiz you may want to study the Quizlet vocabulary set on the human body.

04. Then take this short quiz: Human Body Quiz Short Version

05. HOMEWORK - BEGIN IF YOU FINISH ALL THE QUIZZES BEFORE CLASS TIME FINISHES.

Here are the pre-reading derivatives for Chapter 03.  Copy the questions into your Latin notebooks, match the English words with their Latin root. Then define in English only the highlighted words.

Use the Merriam-Webster online dictionary to find the definitions of the highlighted root words. (See link at the bottom of the blog.
